Held each spring and fall on the grounds of beautiful Oak Alley Plantation, Oak Alley’s Arts and Crafts Festival brings over 150 booths of juried artists and crafters to its show. You’ll find unique Louisiana crafts, artwork featuring Louisiana, area Cajun food vendors, and much more as you stroll the lawn of Oak Alley.
Activities for the kids abound! Kids can get their faces painted, enjoy the animals in the petting zoo, ride a pony, and be flung 25 feet in the air on the amazing EuroBungy!
There’s a long row of food vendors where you’ll find such an array of delicious foods you’ll have a hard time deciding on what to eat! To name only a few – Alligator Sauce Picante, Shrimp on a Stick, Seafood Pasta, Gumbo, Jambalaya, Crawfish Bisque, Crab Cakes, Cracklins. Then here’s a few of the many desserts! – Bread Pudding with Praline Sauce, Fruit and Chocolate Crepes, fudge, pralines, pies, ice cream. And Oak Alley always serves its famous Oak Alley Mint Juleps!
If you haven’t toured the home, the plantation is open for tours led by antebellum-dressed tour guides. You’ll also want to visit the lovely gift shop next to Oak Alley’s Restaurant that has expanded to include a café. The gift shop is always decorated for the season and filled with unique gift items.
