Louisiana Travel : Thibodaux Firemen’s Fair

Thibodaux Firemen’s Fair
Thibodaux, Louisiana

The Thibodaux Firemen’s Fair has grown steadily since its first small fair held in 1893 to help build a fire station.  Today, the fair boasts carnival rides, games, great food and live music.  This year, country superstar Mark Chestnutt headlines Saturday night.

The parade rolls on Sunday at 11.   Try to outbid your neighbor at the auctions held Saturday night and Sunday after the parade.  Take a chance and maybe you’ll luck out and win the drawing for the $10,000 raffle at the end of the fair.

This is one of Louisiana’s oldest festivals and is organized entirely by the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department every year.  So come out and try some of our firemen’s hot Cajun cookin’ and support their efforts to buy needed equipment and fund volunteer emergency responders training.
