Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center

The Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center in Thibodaux is one of six sites in south Louisiana that makes up the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve.  Located on the banks of Bayou Lafourche, the Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center depicts the lives of the Acadians who lived along the bayous, marshes and wetlands of south Louisiana.  Exhibits, artifacts and films tell the story of their origins, migration, settlement, rituals, cuisine, traditions and contemporary culture.

Take a one-mile walking tour through historic Thibodaux with a park ranger.  Tour begins at 2:00 p.m.

A Cajun music jam takes place on Mondays, from 5:30-7:00 p.m.  Bring an instrument and play along with the local musicians or just sit back and enjoy the music!
