Southdown Plantation House & Terrebonne Museum 

Southdown Plantation House was built in 1859 by sugar planter, William J. Minor, as a one-story Greek Revival. In 1893, his son, Henry C. Minor, added the second floor and Victorian-style architectural features.

Featured exhibits include the original 19th century Minor family furnishings, Memories of Terrebonne Oral History, Mardi Gras in Houma, Southdown Plantation and the Sugarcane Industry, and the Houmas Indians and other Native Peoples of Louisiana.
