Acadian Museum

The Acadian Museum honors the Acadian heritage and Cajun people of Louisiana.

The Erath Room captures the history of the town of Erath in pictures.  The Acadian Room contains artifacts and information relating to Acadian history from 1603 to present.  Included in this room is the Queen’s Royal Proclamation of 2003—the British queen’s royal proclamation of apology for the Acadian exile.  The Prairie Bayou Cajun Room has artifacts and exhibits depicting the Acadians’ settlement of Vermilion Parish and their transformation to the Cajuns of today.
