Oysteria Plates Serve Up Southern Charm at Chic Chateau
Walking into Chic Chateau in Downtown Thibodaux is like walking into a beautiful, chic beach house (or should I say bayou house?) The beautiful items found in Chic Chateau are one-of-a-kind pieces. Chic Chateau prides itself in carrying unique items that help accessorize homes and offices in an elegant and traditional Southern style.
While waiting for Weeping Willow to open in downtown Thibodaux, the store windows of Chic Chateau caught Ms. Sue’s eye. Without her spot of luck, we would not have been introduced to the handcrafted oyster plates made in our own Louisiana. After speaking with Ms. Debi Webre, the gracious owner of Chic Chateau, we found out that the beautiful plates are handcrafted and fired in New Orleans by Oysteria.
Oysteria was established by friends, Monique Chauvin and Leslie Stidd Massony. Their works reflect their love of New Orleans, our culinary culture and decorative arts. All the pieces are made to be used, enjoyed, and collected.
The oyster plates are unique in design, color and shape. The handcrafted and glazed plates are the perfect gift, decoration, and plate for any holiday gathering or party. Keeping in mind our busy lifestyle, the artists made the plates functional as well as beautiful – microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe.
Oysteria was founded a mere 3 years ago but has grown in popularity quickly. Even though they are demanded all over the country, Oysteria only sells their plates at a few locations within Louisiana. I count myself lucky that I live in a town where it is easy to find this gorgeous oyster plate.
So stop by Chic Chateau to behold and buy the beautiful and unique plates made by Oysteria and to check out the rest of Chic Chateau’s unique artwork and elegant Southern furnishings.
