Louisiana Travel : Festival International de Louisiane

Festival International de Louisiane
Lafayette, Louisiana

Celebrate the French cultural heritage of South Louisiana at this free family event.  The annual 5-day festival is held in historic downtown Lafayette which is transformed into an entertainment complex featuring six music stages, food court areas, street musicians and animators, arts and crafts boutiques, art galleries, beverage stands, cultural workshops, international cooking demonstrations and a world music store.

Festival International de Louisiane is the largest outdoor Francophone event in the United States.  Each year, performing, visual and culinary artists from Europe, Africa, Canada, the Caribbean, and the Americas, as well as our own local Louisiana talent, gather to celebrate the various cultures–French, African, Caribbean, Hispanic–that have influenced South Louisiana.
