Houma Restaurant | Downtown Indulgence
BY: Susan Arcement

Cafe Dominique brings you a big city restaurant experience in small downtown Houma.  Their diverse cuisine bridges French Country, Creole, Mediterranean and East Asian.  Chefs are alumni of the John Folse Culinary Institute and they create unique dishes using fresh, organic produce, natural free range meats, and locally harvested seafood.

With one taste of our Spinach, Artichoke and Mushroom Soup appetizer, we knew we were in for a great culinary treat!  The fresh ingredients were evident with our first bite.  Our entrees of Chargrilled Salmon and Tuna Salad were fresh and healthfully good.

The elegant dining room and romantic outdoor patio on the banks of Bayou Terrebonne make Cafe Dominique the perfect hometown getaway for that special night on the town.

What Cajun Daughters Love about Cafe Dominique:  I’ve never met a John Folse Culinary Institute chef I didn’t like!  Really!  There’s plenty of places I can get great Cajun cooking – or cook it myself – but these chefs just add a whole new dimension to French Cajun cooking.
