Louisiana Travel : Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival

Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival
Breaux Bridge, Louisiana

No matter how you like your crawfish, you’re sure to find it here – fried crawfish, boiled crawfish, crawfish etoufee, crawfish bisque, crawfish boudin, crawfish pie, crawfish jambalaya and even crawdogs-along with other Cajun favorites like shrimp, crab, gumbo and red beans and rice.

When you’re done eating crawfish, you can watch the world-famous Crawfish Races.  Then there’s the Crawfish Etoufee Cook-off and Crawfish Eating Contest.

The festival has one of the largest gatherings of Cajun, Zydeco and Swamp Pop musicians.  With over 30 bands playing on three stages throughout the 3-day weekend, you can dance from morning to night . . . which will give you great practice for the Cajun and Zydeco Dance Contests going on this weekend.

The festival also has a parade, carnival midway and arts & crafts booths to fill out a great weekend.
