Smothered Pork Chops

2-4 pork chops
cooking oil
salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste


1. Put enough cooking oil in a heavy skillet to just cover the bottom. Heat oil.

2. Season pork chops with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

3. Add pork chops to hot skillet and brown both sides. Cook over medium heat. Then add a little water and cover. Add water and turn chops as necessary until chops are cooked through and tender.

4. At end of cook, take off cover and brown meat to desired brownness and boil off water.
