Pecan Pie


1 cup chopped pecans
1 stick butter
3 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup cane syrup
1/4 cup honey
2 tbsp. vanilla
pinch of nutmeg
pinch of cinnamon
1 uncooked pie shell


Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Melt butter in a pan over medium-high heat. Allow butter to slightly brown around the edges as it melts to get that nutty flavor.

Slightly cool butter, then pour into mixing bowl. Add eggs, brown sugar, cane syrup, honey, and vanilla. Blend well after each addition into the bowl. Add a pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon. Use a wire whisk o remove any lumps from the sugar or spices. Fold in pecans.

Pour mixture into pie shell. Bake 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 385 degrees F and bake 35 minutes. Check for doneness.

Cool thoroughly before slicing.
