Orange Ice Box Cake


Sponge cake
1 egg
½ cup sugar
Grated rind of 2 oranges
Juice of 1 orange
½ pint whipping cream



Separate egg. Beat yolk well and add sugar. Then add rind and orange juice. Mix together well. Fold in whipped cream and stiffly beaten egg white.

Cut 4 even layers of sponge cake. Spread the filling between each layer and on top.

Refrigerate for 24 hours before serving.
