New Orleans Pralines

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup brown sugar
½ cup molasses
1 cup cream
2 tablespoons butter
½ teaspoon vanilla
2 cups pecans

DIRECTIONS:

Boil the first four ingredients, stirring constantly to 238 degrees or until when a soft ball is formed in cold water.

Add vanilla and nuts. Stir until candy starts to sugar.

Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.
