Molasses Popcorn Balls


½ cup molasses
½ cup sugar
¼ teaspoon vinegar
¼ cup water
1 ¼ tablespoons butter
¼ teaspoon salt
6 cups popcorn, popped


Combine molasses, water, vinegar, sugar, and salt in heavy-bottomed pot. Cook slowly without stirring until small quantity dropped in water forms threads. Remove from heat.

Add butter and stir only enough to mix.

Pour over popcorn, stirring constantly. Shape into balls – and be quick about it.

NOTE: Spraying Pam on measuring cup and spoon will help the molasses to flow more easily.
