Macaroni and Cheese


4 to 5 oz. macaroni
¼ cup butter
¼ cup flour
¼ teaspoon dry mustard
Dash of cayenne
¾ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 cups milk
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese


Cook macaroni in boiling water until done. Drain.

Melt butter in double boiler. Add flour and cook until butter and flour bubble, then add milk. Cook slowly until mixture thickens. Add rest of ingredients.

Mix with cooked macaroni and put in baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
