Homemade Chili


1-1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 6-oz. can tomato paste & 1 can water
1 14-oz. can whole or diced tomatoes
1 15-oz. can tomato sauce
3 green onions, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1/2 cup chopped parsley
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
3 tbsp. chili powder
2 tbsp. sugar


Brown ground meat. Drain. Add tomato paste, spices and seasonings. Cook for about 1 hour stirring to keep from sticking. Add a little water if needed. Add tomatoes and tomato sauce. Cook, covered, on low heat for 3 to 4 hours.
