Fried Okra

INGREDIENTS:

2 lb. okra
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup evaporated milk
salt & pepper to taste
cornmeal
vegetable oil for frying

DIRECTIONS:

Cut okra into 1/4-inch slices. Mix egg, milk, salt and pepper. Dip okra in egg mixture, then roll in cornmeal. Fry in hot oil until browned.
