Deviled Oysters

INGREDIENTS:

1 pint oysters
1 tablespoon butter
3 shallots, chopped fine
2 tablespoons flour
½ cup milk
¼ cup cream
½ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
Dash cayenne
½ teaspoon prepared mustard
½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Mushrooms
½ teaspoon chopped parsley
1 egg yolk
Buttered breadcrumbs

DIRECTIONS:

Melt butter. Add flour and when it bubbles, add milk and cream slowly. Stir constantly and when thick, add salt, nutmeg, cayenne, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Add drained oysters, mushrooms, and egg yolk.

Pour into greased casserole dish and top with buttered breadcrumbs.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. May also be served in individual shells.
