Corn and Crab Bisque

INGREDIENTS:

1 stick butter
1/2 cup flour
2 large onions, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
3 ribs celery, chopped
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
1 qt. half and half
1 pt. whipping cream
3 10-oz. pkg. frozen corn
2 8-oz. cans creamed corn
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
4 tsp. garlic powder
4 tsp. onion powder
1 tbsp. Cajun seasoning
2 lb. Louisiana crabmeat (or shrimp)
Dash of hot sauce

DIRECTIONS:

Melt butter in large pot and add flour to make a light roux. Add onion, bell pepper, celery, and parsley. Cook until wilted.

Slowly stir in half and half and whipping cream. Add corn, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Cajun seasoning. Cook on medium heat 20 minutes, stirring frequently.

Add crabmeat and dash hot sauce. Simmer 20 minutes.
