Buttermilk Cake

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 cups cake flour, sifted
2 rounded teaspoons baking powder
5 egg whites
1 cup buttermilk
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

DIRECTIONS:

Make as any other cake except add ΒΌ cup sugar to beaten egg whites. Mix baking soda into buttermilk and add alternatively with flour.

Cook at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
