2 sticks butter
4 eggs, separated
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 heaping cup flour
1 ½ cups pecan pieces
4 squares chocolate, melted



Set oven at 350 degrees. Grease a 16x8-inch baking pan or 2 8x8-inch square cake pans.

Beat egg whites until stiff.

In another large bowl, cream butter. Add sugar, beat well. Add egg yolks one at a time, beating well between each. Next add the melted chocolate and then the vanilla. Next add flour and then the stiffly beaten egg whites. Stir in the pecans.

Pour batter into baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
