Aunt Jean's Pecan Cake


3 cups finely chopped pecans
1 cup evaporated milk
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water (if too thick)
1 tsp. vanilla
Yellow or white cake mix


1. Bake cake mix according to directions.

2. Cook pecans, Pet milk, butter, and sugar for about 20 minutes. Add a little water if too thick.

3. Add vanilla after you take off the stove and stir.

4. Frost cake with pecan icing.
